Air and Water

There are some tests had to be made for making sure that the water is 100% pure.

1. Physical test. 

• Test : boiling water .

• Positive result : boils at 100 degree.

• Negative result : boils at more 100 degree

Chemical test :

1. Anhydrous copper II sulfate turns from white to blue when water is added (exothermic). 

                       CuSO4 + 5H2O = CuSO4.5H2O

2. Anhydrous cobalt II chloride turns from blue to pink when water or an aqueous solution is added (exothermic )

    CoCl2  + 6H2O = CoCl2.6H2O
